Thankfully, Final Fantasy XIV is going to make it easier for newcomers to get sucked in. It's not bad for the price, but it is a lot to ask upfront. For $15 a month (typically speaking), you can escape your real-life and live in a fantasy world with nearly endless amounts of content. They not only require a ton of hours to get to a comfortable spot, but they have a monthly cost associated with them. MMORPGs can be a real daunting task for many players.
